OK, there is a company here in town that sells 55 Gal steel drums that have already been put through a furnace and then blasted (sandblasted I am assuming). The catch is they get these drums from all over and have no idea what was in them. I would assume that these would be fine especially if I go ahead and do a good burn on it myself.

Should I grab it or pass it up?

Thanks

Marc

I'm right across the river in Jeffersonville, and have built a total of 9 barrells I bought from Cargo Clean. Is this the same company you're talking about? If so make sure you get them before they put the rust prevention chemical on the inside.

Ya.. I agree... my wife used to work for the health department, so she's paranoid... LOL. Just tryin to get my story right if one of the boys decides to grow a 3'rd eye.

Assuming they are all rendered equally safe through the refurbishing process, I would chhose the heaviest drum as it will be the thickest guage.
