During the sales last weekend I noticed Academy sports has an Outdoors something model and Walmart had a Blue Rhino brand of Blackstone type griddle. Any of you dudes/duddettes have any experience with these clones? How do they measure up? I sure would like to put some type when I build my kitchen....

I belong to a Blackstone Griddle Owners Group on Facebook. This topic comes up fairly often. Mix of people looking at the Camp Chef vs the Blue Rhino vs Blackstone.

Lot's of good features on all 3 models. I think it generally comes down to preference and cost.

A 36" Blackstone is under $250 everyday pricing where I live. I wouldn't risk saving ~$50 on an untested or lighter weight model myself.

A ~$65 Mexican propane powered Comal made in China? Maybe.

I have a Blackstone 28 and a camp chef explorer with griddle. They both do a great job. The camp chef breaks down real nice when your on the go. The adjustable feet are nice too.
