Roasting some hatch chiles on the Ranch kettle

Wow that is one big grill!

Nice cook!

It's a pretty fun grill to cook on. It's nice to be able cook an entire meal on it without using a stove.

Looks great! This gets me excited because I just placed my first Hatch chiles order!

My local store will have them next week. Should I roast them myself, or should I have them spin roasted at the store? Any advantages/disadvantages one way or the other?

No real advantage IMHO. Much easier if you let them roast them.

Preference and ease. They one here was not very big and it is a propane flame.

MSD did some in the oven but I preferrd the ones we did on the grill.

Ordered two boxes that we pick up tomorrow @ $.99 per pound. There roasted ones here were $3.98 per pound.

I Just roasted A Bunch yesterday on Walter ( My Ranch Kettle)
Food City out here has all their Hatch Chile's on sale for .33 a pound .. So I bought a Bunch of Xtra Hot and Mild .. The Hot are pretty tasty ..
Well Done Sir gotta luv the Ranch Kettle !:clap2:

Just scored a WRK this week & hope to be roasting chiles on it soon! For now I'll be making do with ribs, chicken, and eggplant.

Looks great!
