I finally broke out my Camp Chef stove and griddle. Had only used it mostly for breakfast cooks at work and with the large volume of bacon and sausage the bean can drain cup had to be emptied during the cook several times - that is a hot little can and had to be swapped quickly. After the last cook, I made an adaptor to use a 1 gallon bucket and tried it out today. First observation was with the stock handle the drop was too much and if windy may have splattered all over. Threw a ¼” all thread in quickly and problem solved.
Here is the Dawgstone

You should be able to sell that idea to the manufacturers, I don't have one of those cookers but if I did I'd use that, good job

Nice mod. What size is the cooking surface, looks to be about 14"X18"? Can't wait to see what kind of goodies wind up in the newly announced throwdown.

At first I thought you welded that to the griddle, but after looking at it closer I can see you just set it on there. Nice job! I should learn how to weld.

Just measured 23-1/2 X 15-1/2

thanks

I still use the little can on my griddle, it is a pain. Can you share a little more about the bracket? :thumb:

It is just 1" x 1/8" angle iron 11" long (long enough to fit the size bucket you want) and a bracket from 1/2" x 1/8" to hang it with. Had to shape the bend piece to not block the drain hole and have enough slope to drain away from the driddle faster than the hole can feed it. Slots at the end to hang the bucket and a slot in the tip it maybe help drin straight down.

Only use it this once so far but it seems to work.
