I’m on a quest. Years ago (15+) when I started smoking, I found a rub that we really liked. It was made by Durkee, “St Louis Style Chicken and Rib Rub” or something along those lines. Apparently they quit making it, and somebody on the internet says it is now made by Weber. I bought some of the Weber stuff and used it over the weekend. It is good, but not quite what I remember it.

I’ve scoured the internet and find some places listing the Durkee stuff, but all out of stock. And I think that was the case when I gave up 5 years ago.

It was my wife’s favorite and none of the other 25+ ones I’ve tried since them quite do it for her. I’m not above making my own, but it’d be nice if it resembled that.

Does anybody else know anything about this? Either a suitable replacement or a copycat?

I found this on Amazon. It's possible Durkee may have renamed it. Good luck.

I'll have to look into it. The link was purple on my computer, so apparently I'd looked at it at one time.
