Tried a new one today.
I make lots of Jerky.
My marinade was developed over 20 years and had about 12-15 ingredients. I loved it, as did everyone else.
Got to looking at Dale's Marinade and Show Me BBQ sauce. The two seemed to have most of the ingredients since Show Me is Liquid Smoke based.
Did a 13 lb batch using 50/50 (more or less) Dale's and Show Me.
Left everything else (Emeril's Essence for topping spice and Mesquite smoke) the exact same.
Results???
Edible, but no distinct flavor, kick, or personality.

So--back to basics for me.
I can not recommend the mixture I made.
