Blasphemous Low and Slow Cook

The anti-225 stuff is pure siliness. You can make great BBQ at 275 or 300 or 250 or 225. If you can only get good results at one temp, you have a lot to learn.

The 275 is the new 225 mantra around here should be tempered with the realization that it is likely that far more great BBQ has been done at 225 than 275 over the years.

I like a true low and slow smoke myself. My rubs are brown sugar based despite living in Texas for so long and I hate risk burning the sugar at high temps.
