Weber Kettle Table Project

Absolutely fantastic! The top looks incredible! I have no idea how you create that look.

I used the sanding pads from Harbor Freight. They look like a round Scotch Brite that attaches to the drill or die grinder. I started with the die grinder but my air compressor wasn't able to keep up. I kept having to wait for the pressure to build up. I switched over to the drill and had no problems after that. There are close to 700 swirls on the top.
 
Engine turning adds class to anything and your table is no exception!

I wasn’t familiar with the term “color sanding” either. First google result is “how to color sand - 125 steps to perfect paint” :shocked:
