With the burger throwdown going on I decided to do some classic cheeseburgers. I've made many gormet-ish burgers but lately I've been loving the basic or classic burgers.
Started with a couple of chuck steaks
Chopped and worked the meat down to a mince with my cleaver and chef's knife
Formed into three 8.5oz patties
In the meantime I made some buns from scratch
So much better than the store bought stuff
Realized I didn't have mayo so quickly made some
Fired up my 26 cart and put the patties on
Deli sliced Colby Jack and American
Mayo, green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard
And of course pickles
They sure did not suck. I've minced beef for burgers like this before and I really love the full beef flavor and texture
Thanks for looking!
