The family & I just got back from Texas. It was a necessary trip to deal with some family business, but we made the best of it with some good visiting & sightseeing. Top of the list for me were stops at Kreuz Market & Smitty's in Lockhart – considered to be the BBQ capital of Texas. That's not what this thread is about.

Texas BBQ is a book I found at the University of Texas Co-op that truly captures the essence of central Texas BBQ. It's not a cookbook or how-to. It's a photo book. A very good photo book. Not much I can write that will do it justice. All I can say is it would be worth every penny at twice the price. A must-have for anyone who loves BBQ culture & lore as much as they do BBQ itself.
