I use kosher salt and wads of aluminum foil. I have a 10 inch CI that has never seen water in almost 20 years. Not a spec of rust. I clean it while hot so moisture never has time to settle.

Bacon, More Bacon, Pickles, Onion , Tomato Slices n Ketchup n Mustard. Skipped the Lettuce.......:mrgreen:
Since I use a Griddle Topper on my Gasser there's nowhere for the grease to drain so I keep rolled up paper towels in the Grease trough and switch out a cpl times during a cook.......
