I do believe that gets the Santa squeal of approval!
I had some left over burnt ends from a brisket cook I was saving.
I figured with all this food Santa would need a little salad.
The Wedge Salad with homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing...
TW - not seeing the pic...Did someone post Santa would be needing some fiber? (check) And a little hootch? (check) And on a stick? (check) Presenting...(drum roll, please)....Whiskey Basted Fruit Kabobs
More strong entries! Even the salad looks good  :-D
What is the grilled or smoked component on the salad, Larry?
Sorry to be the bearer of bas news Larry, but Rule #2 in the BBQ Brethren Throwdown Rules specifically states:The bacon is apple smoked...
But grilled or smoked is not a Throwdown requirement....
Sorry to be the bearer of bas news Larry, but Rule #2 in the BBQ Brethren Throwdown Rules specifically states:
2. The item must be Grilled or Smoked during the cooking process, or feature Grilled or Smoked ingredients in a prominent manner.
The link to the rules suggesting they be read before entering was posted in the OP.
I never meant to imply you were DQ'ed Larry. I haven't said that. I was simply pointing out the rule. You said the bacon was smoked...so if you want to go with that I am good with letting the voters decide. I'm a nice guy!:becky: I think. Then again...i have been told I am kind of crabby.:redface:Fine, I'm disqualified. I'm okay with that...
I won't even argue selective enforcement or invoke the normal "let the voters decide" argument.

So you're selectively enforcing the rule upon yourself?:heh:
Gore - the wedding date hasn't arrived yet, so I guess we will have to wait to join the husband-wife team comp.
