Great weekend cooking with friends

Last weekend we had a warmer Saturday for Michigan, so had a couple work friends and family over and decided to throw a bunch of things on the smoker. Creekstone beef ribs half with Holy Cow, half with Black Ops, wings, jalapeño poppers, and a first with bbq scotch eggs. Finished the wings by tossing in a homemade Cholula type sauce and thrown on the gasser. The beef ribs interestingly shot one bone the opposite direction LOL if anyone knows why that would happen let me know! Everything turned out wonderfully.

Beef ribs do that. Never know which way they'll go. Good looking cook!

Wonderful looking barbecue! That was a funny bone situation, but nothing is predictable. Heck, maybe that steer stepped into an old post hole and bruised his ribs, or maybe he got into a fight at the feed lot?
 
Good looking feed , no idea on the rib,maybe it was a rebel rib
 
Ok so I have heard of fall of the bone but, never fall off the beef :-D Regardless great looking cooks and thanks for reminding me I really really need to try making some scotch eggs
 
Justin, Fantastic looking cook there, and those beef ribs look Perfect, regardless of the bone falling off. I would say everyone left well fed!!
 
I'd say that you pretty much covered all of the food groups with that one cook and not a thing from that pesky group with all of that green stuff in it:thumb:
Chad, scotch eggs, at least the ones I have seen, are boiled eggs peeled and encased in sausage, much like stuffing inside of a meatball.
 
Haha thanks Ron. Yep of you haven’t tried a scotch egg and you don’t object to eggs and sausage then definitely try one. I’d say if you can find a place that makes them go that route first. They’re kind of a pita to make! But they’re fantastic.
