Saw Uncle Bud's stand. Sorry I didn't get to speak to them.We got there just before the judging started, everyone was plating up.It looked pretty intense! Didn't want to interupt... I did get to sample some Q though.Uncle Bud is there, and if I didn't have karate, baseball practice, and a side job, I'd be there too!
Alan - Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk and thanks for not interrupting during "crunch time". It did get intense as we really wanted a good showing at this one. It must have worked cause we took 5th in chicken, 4th in ribs, 7th in brisket, and 3rd overall.Saw Uncle Bud's stand. Craig - Way to go! Was that 2nd place overall in backyard I saw you get?We were there today. I thought the event was good for a first year event. Their going to eventually try for KCBS or FBA sponsorship. This should help attract more attention from teams.

I was there, and even got the pleasure of meeting Uncle Bud.
Good time had by all

We had fun and executed the cook about as well as I know how to. The judges just didn't like the Q as much as I did. We were between the Right Stuff and Johns Creek teams.
Good talking to Craig- probably will be in touch to hit you up for suggestions. Definitely looking forward to getting some feedback via scoresheets.

I washed dishes and did other odds and ends for Uncle Bud's. But far more important, I learned a whole hell of a lot as what judges are looking for. It was a great experience picking the collective brain of Uncle Bud's.Redheart; which team were you there with?
Marc - Thanks for everything you did and we enjoyed your company. Hopefully we'll either cook together or compete together real soon!I washed dishes and did other odds and ends for Uncle Bud's.
