Advice on steel to use on grill/smoker i'm building

I'm going to build this Santa Maria grill with attached smoke box.

I've got the base built and I'm moving onto the grill box and the smoke box. I'm not sure what gauge steel to use building boxes. I'm seeing all kinds of things online.

I"m going to use thin fire brick on the bottom of the grill. I am planning on using 14 gauge on the smoke box. But, I'm not sure on the grill box. With firebrick on the bottom, do I need to go 1/4" or can I get by with 1/8" or 3/16? 14 gauge for the sides, or do I need to go to 12 gauge?

Heck yeah man, If it was me, i would be using the thickest afforadable gauge that i can work with, and 304 to boot.

I'm not clear on exactly what you want help with. Looks like you have most of the build done.

Have you looked at http://www.azbbqgrills.com/
See what metal gauges they use for reference. That might help you.
Any large panel (like your cabinet door), sheetmetal even quarter inch that does not have a curve, bend, radius or cross support bars could warp. Everything you add. Adds weight which makes moving around more of a problem. Typically requiring larger/stronger wheels.
