Homemade mayonnaise as a base for a remoulade, tartar sauce, or aioli is pretty hard to beat.
 
Pretty much everything that doesn't go with ketchup goes with mayo. Chicken or turkey sammies, a BLT, tuna/chicken/ham salad. Potato salad. And yep, a big slice of tomato on white bread.

My choice is Miracle Whip.
 
I keep meaning to try slathering some chicken with mayo before grilling. I hear some folks do this with great success.
 
I love eggs...It would be ok if it tasted like eggs...it's 99% whipped oil. No thanks
So, is it the texture you don't like?

Have you ever had whipped garlic? The process of making it is similar to mayo (emulsified oil) except substituting garlic for the eggs. Has the same texture and look of mayo but packs a powerful flavor punch.
