My wife gave me the whole shebang. It is a VERY heavy duty grate and the cast iron parts are nice too. They are enameled or epoxy coated so as not to rust. Not seasoned though. The surfaces of the wok and the griddle are not as smooth as I'd like, but with time perhaps? I've had only one chance to use it with the griddle and it worked out well. Having the hot charcoal in the center is not an issue like I first thought it would be. In fact a friend with welding skills is going to make up a circular charcoal basket for me just for this grate system. Since you are going to be replacing a grate anyway, get this one. You will like that the grate bars are at least twice the size of the standard ones. Am still looking forward to using the sear grate. Time is an issue lately around here.
