Uzbek "Tandoori" Chicken

There's an Asian Style BBQ Throwdown ending soon, a Cookbook Inspired Special Monthly Throwdown, and a Dark Meat Throwdown so I went back to the Planet Barbecue book for a potential triple TD entry with an Uzbek "Tandoori" Chicken recipe.

Recipe is for a whole chicken but that Dark Meat TD and a sale on drumsticks pulled me to the dark side. Marinated the chicken overnight and got it onto the XL Egg indirect to start:

Finished cooking mostly direct:

Plated with an Uzbek Plov Pilaf and slices of lemon from my lemon tree:
