"sugar in the raw" is different than raw sugar.
Sugar in the raw is turbinado, although turbinado is different than raw sugar.
Sugar in the raw is a bad name for it. Turbinado is a name describing the process of making a "form"of raw sugar.
"sugar in the raw"/Turbinado has different melting points than raw sugar, different molasses contents, different granular structure, and because of the processing different sucrose, glucose, fructose, percentages which effect the sugars tendency to attract and hold water.

But back to the purpose of you asking the question... the name brand "sugar in the raw" is turbinado, but don't confuse for raw sugar. Flavor profiles are similar but the complexity is different and so are many other properties as described above.
