We were out tailgating on Saturday and supporting our UTEP Miners as they beat the NMSU Aggies! :heh: This was our second tailgate. Wanted to show some pics of the tailgate fare and some of the food Lil Bobby B cooked up on Sunday while we watched The Boys win and game and SF lose one! Sorry Bro! (Sizzler1322!)
Our setup. Between parking spaces and tailgating spaces, we took up 22 spots! That's gotta be a record!

Lil Bobby B playing with the guys and his Uncle and Brethren Member Sizzler1322. Later on, Bobby B hit the pavement and left some flesh on the parking lot. He sucked it up and his knee is doing better now!:thumb:

My Mom and Dad also went out. This is there second tailgate EVER and they LOVE it. We got new Tailgaters!:heh: Here is my dad's chicken. All I can tell you is he tossed in onions, garlic, and quince fruit and some other spices. It was GOOD!

I made some planked salmon that I served up on crostini and topped with some slaw. I also made some satay with a killer peanut sauce. However, I cooked that one toward the end of the night and I was busy singing to some old Vicente Fernandez songs and didn't take pics, but it happended!

We had a little bit of everything. I promise to take more pics next time. Chicken, ribeyes, chuck steaks, bacon wrapped stuffed bells, Sizzler made some awesome hot link HOT dogs with a fresh slaw, we had strawberries with a strawberry marshmallow dip, my buddy Eric made blueberry pancakes for the kids in the morning. We got there around 11 AM. We also had discada after the game for our Round 2 of tailgating courtesy of our friend, Chef Rick.

Hector is a notorious PhotoBomber. You can't read Eric's lips, but he said, "WTF is Hector doing back there?"

Next up, Lil Bobby B! Tailgating in the Man Cave!
Why I love my local Meat Market, La Estrella! Pork Carnitas, 1lb.

Turkey Tails. Mrs. Brisket had killed a couple of em already. I guess they add a color before or after cooking. Some places sell em this way and others don't. They tasted great!

Some buche!

Put the tongs there for him, but I guess he wanted to work on building up the asbestos hands and fingertips!

Smearing on da beans!

Topped with carnitas, colitas, and buche and cheese and let em melt and heat through.

Looks like a great time. Makes me miss the UT tailgating when my daughter was still in school. I was the designated brisket cook.

Looks outstanding Bob and Lil Bob!! Great way to spend the day and the food looks fantastic!

Always love a tailgate! Comp BBQ is a lot like tailgating without the game which is why I think I like it so much - Your tailgate looks AWESOME!

Funny you make that comparison. It is a lot like a comp. People are trying to get stuff cooked by a certain time and there is a good bit of friendly competition between us. We all want our meat, dish, etc to stand out. But the best part is just the hanging out, talking, BS'ing, and sharing and eating.....and the drinking too!:thumb:
