Super Bowl Sunday started out with a new twist on breakfast - an Apple Dutch Baby Pancake. I found a recipe on the web, sliced up some Gala apples, tossed them with brown sugar/cinnamon and into a buttered hot cast iron skillet they went. Added the batter, let it bake in the oven for 30 minutes or so and this is the result -
I had thoughts of making this out on the grill but I hadn't fired any of them up yet.
Served with some warm maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar -
For Super Bowl food the Corn Dogs which I posted in another thread were joined by Ribs and Buffalo Wings. All three grills were put into use yesterday, the Keg was used for the Corn Dogs, the Goldens' for the Ribs, the Weber for the chicken wings.
Corn Dogs -
Ribs on the Goldens', seasoned with OakRidge Competition Beef and Pork Rub, which is superb -
Chicken Wings on the Weber -
Ribs get a small amount of Sweet Baby Ray's at the end and they're done -
Buffalo Wings are sauced -
And Super Bowl grub is ready -
A fun day of cooking and grilling and obviously Mrs lunchman and I were happy with the outcome of the game. Way to go Patriots! Cue the Duck Boats!
Thanks for checking out this post.
