Sloppy Fatty (canoe?)

Bought some store brand sausage since they were out of JD.


Had the consistency of frozen...not malleable at all, just crumbly.


Looked ok going on...

It turned into a mess...good thing I made it on a roast rack ....was kinda yummy. cheese, pep, n jalapeño.

Was your sausage a 1 lb package, or bigger? It is curious. Have you put that much filling in the middle before? It looks like it is VERY full.

1lb roll, very solid until I tried to flatten it...exp. 2 weeks out....Maybe more cheese than I normally use...but I still blame the dry, crumbly sausage..and me for not mixing in an egg....added just a bit of leftover cheese just before it finished.

Anticipating it was gonna fall apart ..started it face down in tinfoil.
