It's true about grocery store prices and cheese. Butts just jumped from $1.89/lb to $2.29/lb just this week. 8 oz packages of cheese went from around $2.90 to $4.30 in the last 4 months. This is for the generic store brand cheese.

All we have to do is vote with our wallet, and don't buy the stuff till price drops. If they have overstock, price will drop.
 
Sorry to hear that, bro. But, I hear you guys can get brisket really cheap. Around here, brisket $2.49 for select and much higher for choice and prime. Pork butts are running around $1.29 per pound.

Not here in SA. Packers are $2.49 to $2.79 for the cheap stuff. Forget choice or trimmed. We are in severe drought so all meat is extremely high right now. 10 lb 73% lean hamburger is 1.99 to 2.09 a lb!
