Needless to say, it was a very interesting Comp.

Luckily the weather cooperated.

Got to meat some new teams and visit with some good friends....

It was a fun event, nice venue.

Some weird stuff though. I have never been at a cook's meeting held on a park bench before.

They also did the awards in the judges tent next to the stage...while a band was still on. The general public didn't see the award ceremony, and it was loud. "Was that us? Did we get a call?"

We were in a fenced in area, and there was a police presence there, so I felt secure there until some dude emptied 10 shots into the crowd half a block away.

Here is another weird thing.......
When asked what to do with the grease we were advised to dump it in the hot ash can...... can you imagine what a show that would have been.

It was still great to see friends and have a good time.
