Parm crusted grilled cheese

My wife seen this idea float by somewhere, so here it goes.

Buttered whole wheat bread, then pressed in some grated parm cheese.
Sandwiched inside are a slice of ham, Turkey, and salami, a slice of medium cheddar and smoked white cheddar.

Next time I will try it with Dukes instead of butter and use shredded parm. I couldn’t use that parm today as it’s for tonight’s experiment.

But it’s a keeper for lunch.

I really like the look of that, Mike - can almost taste it over here! Nice outer crunch that gives way to salty goodness, then into the soft layer of bread and then meat. Multi-layered goodness!

Those are sides? I thought they were garnish.

It’s a side of veggies. Garnish would be maybe one tomato and a green top if I had some chips or fries.

If the veggies were grilled or there was a wedge of lettuce with a dressing drizzle i would agree. Raw scattered veggies are garnish in my wheelhouse.
