OK Lets Discuss Pork.........And Sauce...

How do you guys/gals actually sauce your pork? Dip it? Brush it? Spoon it? Cut it with water or apple juice? Just curious about the different techniques.

We don't compete as much as we used to but when we competed regularly we realized early that KCBS BBQ competitions are not meat competitions but BBQ sauce competitions. Once we learned that we walked more often and won our first RGC.

Yep. We didn't sauce our pork at all for 2 years. Got very mixed results but mostly middle of the pack. Started saucing at beginning of last year and turned out regular top 5 in pork and ended up 124 in pork for the year. We did absolutely nothing different except start saucing.
