I know some guys will put onions, garlic, chorizo, etc in cheese cloth or panty hose (I realize this thread will get highjacked due to the last part of that sentence). That way you are able to get the flavor but don't have to worry about fishing anything out.

I pulled the trigger. I bought the alligator and the alligator mini onion chopper
