Pictures would get me in trouble with all sorts of vegan-ish wasps-are-people-too types, but I'm not apologizing for how I dealt with a big nest those suckers built inside my gas grill last week when it was pushed to the side during deck construction.

If this ever happens to you, follow these simple instructions.

  1. Wait till dark when all the wasps have come home from their diabolical work and are sleeping on their nest.
  2. Plug the rotisserie holes to prevent escape.
  3. Set your grill on high for 20 minutes.
  4. I know it was cooked to perfection, and on principle you may feel obligated to eat everything you kill, but make an exception here and do not eat the beautifully seared protein.
