Hey here is an mental image you guys should get a kick out of. The chimney didn't come yesterday so this morning I am outside with an acetylene torch trying to light charcoal.
that's not so far off what people use around here. They use weed burners

I use my Weber Charcoal grill which has a torch built right into it. No more flying newspaper. The torch works good because you just want to light a few coals and not the whole pile. Let the smoker come up to temp steady and slow.
