No tent but the rain is for like after midnight if I remember correctly, and the wind isn't too bad and the temp is holding strong (knock on wood).

Hey here is an mental image you guys should get a kick out of. The chimney didn't come yesterday so this morning I am outside with an acetylene torch trying to light charcoal.

that's not so far off what people use around here. They use weed burners
Something like this but cheaper at Harbor Freight http://www.amazon.com/Propane-Weed-Burner-Torch/dp/B001NDK8C8

I use my Weber Charcoal grill which has a torch built right into it. No more flying newspaper. The torch works good because you just want to light a few coals and not the whole pile. Let the smoker come up to temp steady and slow.
