Greetings and Salutations,
I am Flatbroke, both literally and figuratively, and I hail from Central California. I like to eat, and it is a good thing as it is kind of prerequisite for this dance we are all in.
I enjoy BBQ on my off time. I have owned several different BBQs, smokers, wood, gas and pellet. I have mastered NONE of them. I gave my Wide body gas smoker to my father-in-law. wish i kept it. My treager auger finally went the way of the buffalo (never really liked the treager). I have a Webber Kettle and a couple wood burning BBQ's.
I am trying to learn how to use the Kettle and in doing so saw posts in my internet search made by @landarc (another neighbor to the north) that sparked great interest.
I am an advid outdoors person. we raise our own beef for home use so i always have a pretty good selection of quality beef on hand. Process my own pork sausage out of hogs we catch.
I am wood rich and smoker poor. If the warden, my boss, I mean my wife Okays it I will be purchasing a Lang or Kat smoker. The Lord willing and if the creeks don't rise, hopefully soon.
Could not think of a better day to gain clearance to post here, this being the Cinco De Mayo, er I mean the KENTUCKY DERBY duh.
Take care and ride with pride.
