My thoughts on the Weber SmokeFire pellet grill

I currently have a pellet smoker and have problems with the bottom of the meat getting scorched. Did Weber address this with the smoke fire? I am concerned that without a deflector, the bottom of the meat would get burned on a long cook. Any thoughts?
