Remove bacon and then saute veggies in the grease:

Remove from heat and add in the beans, drained pineapple chunks, 1 cup brown sugar (I use 1/2 cup Splenda brown sugar), 1 cup ketchup, 1 TBS Coleman dry mustard, bacon. Stir together.

Cook in the smoker for 2-3 hours till beans are 160 degrees. Don't overcook. These are the best beans and I have been cooking them for at least 20 years.

All great ingredients and the result looks fantastic. What I do not understand is why you start with tinned beans. I would have thought you could/ should have started with navy or northern beans and mainly used same ingredients maybe adding some maple syrup and salt pork.
