WSM has 537 sq. inches of cooking space, right? [ ((18.5/2)^2)*pi ] for 18.5 inch diameter grate, times 2 grates. Two of those is over 1000 iches of cooking space, plus whatever the grill has. The first comp we did, we used a New Braunsfels American Gourmet smoker (244 sq. inches in a 12" body) and an 18 inch Weber kettle to do the chicken. Cooked 1 flat, 1 butt, 2 racks, 12 pieces of chicken.
(Finally able to brag that mine was smaller! :shock: )
