A bit ago, someone posted about making tiny little fatties for appetizers.
For the life of me, I can not find the post--sorry
Got me to thinking though.
I need "horse de serves" for a neighborhood gathering next month. One neighbor can not eat pork for health reasons.
So, I did the "Micro Fatties" (my name for them) my way
Plan was to cook and then cut in half for serving to show the filling.
My standard stuffing is--cream cheeze, tex mex cheeze, fine chopped peppers, onions, various meats, garlic, spices, and basically what ever looks good and needs to come out of the pantry or refrig
Most were JD Maple stuffed with bacon wrapping.
Some were just stuffed hamburger (15 % fat).
A couple of variations in-between.
Lessons learned.
Works wonderful !
Hamburger needs a "kick" in flavor from some spices!
Need to buy "really thin" sliced bacon next time and wrap it around the Micro Fattie instead of "end-to-end".
I am sure there are a thousand variations to this! Ain't BBQ grand
OH--cook time at mid 200's was somewhere around 1.5 hours.
Wish I could take pics like ThirdEye--sorry
Great fun!
