Each entrant team should consist of 4 people. There are two categories of
competition as described below. Only teams who enter the mac 'n' cheese
category can compete in people's choice.

• Ribs: Philly HBC will provide each team with approximately 15 racks of pork
ribs for cooking (final amount to be determined as we get closer to event.)
Teams are allowed to come to the Crane Arts Parking lot at 6 AM to start
their fires, set up grills, and get ready for the day. Philly HBC will give out all
meat to contestants no later than 7:30 AM. You will have until 1 PM to cook
your ribs. At 1 PM the judging will commence. All entries must be cooked
on location over a fire of wood, charcoal or gas. (Sorry, you can’t dig a pit.)
Smoker type barbecues are also allowed.

• Anything Goes- Mac ‘n’ Cheese: This category is defined as your choice of a
favorite grilled recipe...in Mac ‘n’ Cheese form, of course! This entry can
include anything but pork ribs, as long as the dish is nished on the
premises and on the grill. You must bring the ingredients you require and
prepare at least a hotel pan or 200 two ounce samples of the mac ‘n’ cheese.
Judging will start at 1:30 PM for the mac ‘n’ cheese. (Note: elbow macaroni is
not the only type of pasta you can use. Be creative!)

• People’s Choice encompasses both Ribs & Mac ‘n’ Cheese. The team that
collects the most tickets will be declared the winner & receive $400. You do
not need to cook both to win the prize money. The public will receive voting
tickets upon entrance to Made on American Street.
The entry fee per team will be: $200 & competitors must register
online by Oct. 12th. Registration will not be accepted at the Philadelphia
Homebrew Outlet or at club meetings.

$35 full admission in advance gets you in with a souvenir Philadelphia Homebrew Club glass, all you can sample food pass, homemade non-alcoholic refreshments, and endless samples of fall brews. Without the glass, the cost is $25 in advance. Kids under 12 eat and play free. Come early to make sure you get a taste of everything. Tickets are $40 & $30 at the door.
