I am totally impressed with the Brinkman Stillwater. This is my second time cooking in it and it is a real pleasure to use. It's another cool day (53 degrees) and she is holding steady, no problem, with only a barely full chimney of charcoal. I didn't put as much in as last time and I was still a little high on the temp for a while. It's settled in at 250 now and coasting along nicely. Had time to run up to the rummage sale at the old school house half mile away on my Honda CT90. When I came back the temp was right where I left it. Sweet. My Great Outdoors smoker was good for a learner but is being relegated to cold smoking only. It is ideal for that because of all the vertical racks.

Guess I was a little too impressed. I went to pick up my 90 year old mother and then did a little shopping. Guess I didn't top off the fire enough because it pretty much went out. Just a few embers. Enough to fire it back up again though. Dinner may be a little later than I originaly planned.
It wasn't the Brinkmans fault. I just got a little carried away. Nice thing about owning a smoker is that it is teaching me to slow down. Another beer please.
