Kcbs membership requirements

Hi all
If I was to come over from the uk for a months vacation to compete in a few kcbs events would I need to become a kcbs member first? Also is there anywhere to hire smokers?

Its not required... just required to follow KCBS rules.

Smokers... if you could tell us when/where.

Not until summer 2012 but planning early. Want to include as many areas as possible. Kansas Memphis at least.
