If you're working toward your Master CBJ, the road just got a little easier and faster. There's a new on line testing capability, and you can prep for the exam on line, too.

You can take an example or "practice" test by going to the KCBS website (KCBS.us) and clicking on "Judges". Then Click on "Continuing Education". Fill in your judge number and you can take an example exam that will give you immediate feedback on your answers (right or wrong answer and citation of rule area). It also lets you score the exam at the end. This is a great way to prepare and also to learn from the exercise.

Once you've completed your 30 judging gigs and done your cook with a team (and sent your confirming paperwork in) KCBS can now give you the MCBJ exam on line. They'll send you a link and a security code. The test grades instantly after you take it so you'll know if you've passed.

Just a reminder . . . you don't have to judge 30 contests before you cook with a team. Once you have your CBJ number you can download the correct form at kcbs.us and have the head cook fill it out. Be sure to make a couple of extra copies in case it gets lost .
