Just to be clear on this rule...

2012 rule: "All competition meat shall start out raw. No pre-seasoned meat is allowed other than manufacturer enhanced or injected products, as shown on label EXCLUDING but not limited to: teriyaki, lemon pepper or butter injected."

Nothing about trimming, othing about must still be packaged.
 
most fire dept want you to have atleast a 5lb extinguisher. the team that was asked to get a bigger one had a 2 1/2 lb.
