Jägerspätzle (German noodles with Mushroom Gravy). Spaetzle are so easy to make, 10 minutes to mix things up, let rest for 30 minutes, then cook for 3-4 minutes. Easy Peasy! Mad at myself that I don't make them more often.

Assemble most of the ingredients.

Mixed up the pasta, sorry forgot to grab a pic, get the mushroom gravy going.

Hit a chuck eye with some Uncle Chris's steak seasoning and onto the Big Joe.

Spaetzle is done, takes only 3-4 minutes once the water boils.

Good stuff, thanks for looking.

Looks like a real späzle meal!…ba-dum—tsst!

I’m all seriousness that looks delicious.

I've had Jägerschnitzel (one of my favorites) and I've had Jägerschnitzel with a side of spätzle but I can't say I've ever had Jägerspätzle. Looks like a delicious meal!

I was stationed with the USAF in Bavaria in the 70's in a cushy job and enjoyed the most amazing Cordon Bleu with spätzle at the "chow hall" when I had to work on Friday evenings. I loved it so much that sometimes when I had Fridays off, I would still drive into work for the dish. I never had spätzle with mushrooms, either, but I am going to try to replicate your dish using a chuck eye to broaden my horizons. That looks amazing.

Your beautiful dish made me think about the good old days and I had to write a thank you for jogging my memory with your hard work.
