Identify Old Smoker

Chuckwagon, made in New Braunfels, TX. I have the exact same one. Excellent smoker! http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232231

Closest similar smoker is a Horizon Ranger, runs about $1,600 plus freight. Also a lot like a Klose Backyard Chef with the horizontal/vertical cooking chambers. That offers a LOT of flexibility and cooking space for a small pit. If you buy it (you should), feel free to PM me with any questions on how to run it. I added 1/4" tuning plates to mine, works like a charm.

It's a Chuckwagon cooker made in New Braunfels TX in the late 90's. I have one just like it except for the big cabinet on the end. It's made with 1/4" and is definitely heavy. I've never been able to find anything about them online. I remember their shop was right on Interstate 35 in the middle of town, but can't recall the name. Looks like a heck of a buy, but you will need a good plan or a few strong backs to get it in a trailer.

Hope that helps.
Randy

Just read the post above. The cooker with the cabinet could be 3/16 to cut down on the weight. Mine is made from 1/4"

Thanks guys. I will see how low he is willing to go. I recently scored an original OKJ in pristine condition. So I really don't need another cooker, but hell if I can get it down a bit.

Nice deal, you're gonna love it! Love to see better pics of yours once you pick it up! I'll shoot ya a PM when I get some free time. Merry Christmas!

Just picked this up today. This bad boy is a beast! Will post some pics tomorrow. Thinking about documenting the clean up and restoration. It is in really nice shape just needs some TLC.
