Those Pg 1000 and 500 are great home pellet cookers. Eddie and cook shack where the first to develop the direct open fire pot to actually sear food. I can get my pg 500 around 650 plus on a sear. You can manually adjust the feed rate, he gave the user a pid before it was cool. And you can get four to five different zones, when you include the warming box. The one thing they lack is room for capacity. I love the cook shack lines of pellet cookers, made here in the USA and customer service like no other.
