Hosting an event...Neeed HELP!

Wasn't sure if this would be the right place to put this, but I'm part of a committee that is forming a Blues, Brews, and BBQ fest for next fall. I've been tasked with the BBQ contest side. Being where we are it makes sense for us to get sanctioning from the St. Louis BBQ Society. Is there anyone out there that has organized a contest or has a contact for someone who has? Just trying to get some good resources to help get this thing going and not totally mess it up.
