This was Oldyote's entry in the 2015 "Chicken Open" Throwdown



As chosen by ssv3 for winning the "Chicken Wings" Throwdown.

Hey guys,

In scrolling through past Throwdowns, it seems after all these years we've never done a "Grilled Chicken" Throwdown. Let's fix that and make it the next category!

Grill chicken of your choice - whole, halves, spatchcocked, parts, however you like - including rotisserie and kebabs, though it must be chicken and it must be grilled!


You may submit entries that are cooked from 6/30 through 7/17.

Entry pictures must be submitted by Noon Central US Time on Monday, 7/17.

I don't see why not. As long as meat is exposed to direct heat or flame it's a go. What you do with the end product or how you assemble or serve is on you. :thumb:

Just a backyard stepdad. I don’t do a back story with seasoning etc so these TD are possibly not for me.

Still have fun tho

TD Entry

Let's start with this guy. No cook thread. Chicken Breast seasoned with Yard Bird, seared and grilled to 165, then glazed with BBQ sauce. Accompanied with air fryer potatoes and corn.
