Just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. I'm from Seattle WA, new to smoking, untrained in my grilling, but always enjoyed good BBQ.

All the BBQ shows I've been seeing really got me interested in trying smoking out for myself. I was given a ECB couple years ago and never did anything with it, but I also just picked up a NB Black Diamond in awesome condition, no rust except for a little on the legs. I'm looking to do the mods on these and try out something simple to start with.

Great forum, i've been lurking but have learned a tons.

Anyone know how to tell if my NBBD is pre Char-Broil era?
