Old Smoker
Wandering around with a bag of matchlight, looking for a match.
Hello! My handle reflects both me and some of my gear. Been using a kamado since the mid '60s. Still have three - 2 small original Cherry Blossoms and a newer (early '80s) BGE. Also a NB cos. Not to mention a Weber 26 and a built in ng RCS Pro Com. I do 95% of the cooking, almost as much of the kitchen cleaning so I cook outside most of the time. Being from NC and now in the heart of eastern NC bbq country, I consider myself blessed to not only have the means to cook good bbq but to enjoy the product from nationally known pitmasters within a short drive. Still want to enlarge my equipment collection (don't we all?) While I enjoy the smoking process and LOVE the results, I'm looking to reduce the fire tending and increase the 'que eating. And I love to learn about BBQ!
