I have used orange tree wood before - nothing wrong with that. It's pretty mild. It smells like, well, burning wood. :becky:

I would use the grapefruit tree wood - but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Similar to the flavor of orange or lemon.

My brother gives me Lemon, orange, lime, grapefruit, and tangerine wood every spring when he comes to visit. All works well and imparts a mild flavor with citrus undertones. Great when used on chicken or other fowl as well as pork.

I have never used it but am interested to hear how it does. I imagine it would be a mild smoke. Heck, I would love for my BBQ to taste like grapefruit. :-D Definitely one of my favorite foods. My wife thinks it is gross when she sees me down a couple of grapefruit and then wash them down with milk.
