I've heard that Calhoun's is good, however, I have not eaten there.

Buddies that I go camping with in Cherokee used to drive there once a year to eat their ribs. Then I started bringing my smoker.....No more trips to Calhouns.
 
there were a few hundred BBQ joints around including Corky's & Bennett's so we tried Bennett's. i had the chix,ribs,&pp combo & sampled the brisket. the brisket & pp we unsauced & not bad but the chix was so-so & the ribs were fall off the bone & about like any other restaurant ribs..tater salad wasn't bad but whoever came up w/ the idea of bbq sauce in the pintos should be shot(thats the texan in me talking).here's a pic.
