Flint TX BBQ

Looking for good spots to eat BBQ while we are at the resort. Be here through next week. Any great places around?

Read some Tyler reccomendationes but wanted to ask anymore.

Stanley's in Tyler was delicious last year! Ribs and brisket were excellent.

Funny, JJC Custom Pits is located in Flint. I'm a tough critic on restaurant BBQ. Stanley's does a very good job.

Guess I'm the lone holdout that doesn't care for Stanley's.....

Purple Pig on 155 S is close to you although I've never tried it.

Pat G's has some interesting atmosphere - if you can find it.

Country Tavern - a bit further but has a reputation for stellar ribs - then again I haven't eaten there in years.

Al's BBQ in Cuney.... road side shack - never have tried it.

Guess I'm not much help..... Good luck.
