It's cold here for the last two months. Well colder than usual. My wife asked for winter pot dishes. So I bought this 6q iron pot. It's heavy AF.
I went recipe hunting. Most of what I found was meat and vegetables stews. And they seem simple. So now I am making my first attempt. With boneless rib meat and a bunch of vegetables. Garlic paprika cumin and beef broth.
Gave the meat a nice browning.
You know what that is on the bottom of the pot. Say it with me... GOLD!
Layered the potatoes on the bottom. Then the meat and the rest on top.
Here it is before adding the liquid.
Gone to the oven. I'll check back in 2.5 hours.
